The Balmy Fox family live and work on a farm in Mid Cymru, so it’s no surprise that we just love the Welsh outdoors and take every opportunity to enjoy it, whether it’s through horse riding, cycling, running or kayaking. But, unsurprisingly, we don’t relish the dry skin that tags along with all of those outdoor activities, especially from spending too much time in the water or from the wintry cold winds or warm summer sun that Wales offers!
Not happy with unsuccessful off-the-shelf products full of chemically-laden ingredients, we went about creating a range of natural and organically filled creams and lotions to solve the problem ourselves. And so Balmy Fox was created entirely with dry skin at the forefront of our minds—to develop and supply a unique range of natural skincare products for active outdoor people, just like you who want to enjoy Cymru, whatever the weather!
For us, it wasn’t just about being passionate about making products that actually work on dry skin. We also wanted to make sure we used organic, ethically sourced skincare ingredients as much as we possibly could. So, we’re super happy that our lotions and creams use around 80% organically and ethically sourced ingredients—we aim to make our products 100% organic and entirely sourced from ethical farms and plantations as soon as these ingredients become available!

We strive wherever possible to source ingredients that benefit our Welsh customers and those out there producing the ingredients and their wider communities. And by continuing to source our ingredients sustainably, we want to promote fairer trade and avoid using Palm Oil and animal testing practices. Together we can make a fairer, better world to live in by choosing the right ingredients and selecting the most natural and ethically sourced products that we can.
Our range of lotions and creams will resolve even the hardiest Welsh of their dry skin conditions. Our similarly scrumptious Hand & Foot Repair Cream is loaded with equally stunning essential oils, along with lovely Hemp Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Arnica Extract Oil, and Vitamin E added in too. Both products offer protection and repairing qualities to calm, soothe and hydrate even the driest Welsh skin.
